About us

A vibrant side with a rich history

Eynsham Morris have a proud tradition stretching back to the nineteenth century and probably beyond. There have been some breaks but we’ve now put in more than 40 years of dancing since we restarted! We have some of the most exciting and flamboyant dances in the morris tradition, with a dancing style to match. We try to live up to Cecil Sharp’s description from 1908.

It’s an early start this coming Thursday 1st May as we’ll be joining the celebrations in central Oxford to mark the beginning of Summer.     If you want us to dance outside the Eynsham area (or for any big event) it’s advisable to contact us before November of the preceding year – we get a lot of requests and our programme takes shape during November.
